The Ads
Rooted in the tradition of found objects and the everyday fabric of city life, The Ads captures torn and layered advertisements across New York City.
Born from the fast and competitive posting of street ads, these battered surfaces turn into unexpected tapestries — messy yet full of accidental meaning. Drawing inspiration from artists like Aaron Siskind and Mimmo Rotella, the series explores how chance collisions of images, textures, and time open up new ways of seeing. It invites the question: Does defacement help us see anew?
